Greenwell Point School is the only school in the village.   Our school population is variable and fluctuates from 60 to over 100 students in years Kindergarten to Year Six in any one given year.   Most students live within the village but more and more children are brought from Nowra to Greenwell Point for their education.

We are very proud of our academic and sporting achievements.  Each year students compete in the University of NSW Computer, English, Writing, Maths and Science competitions and results show that our students are well within the state average and in most instances are above the state average.

Students enjoy a wide variety of cultural experiences with visiting performances from various groups as well as attending performances in Nowra and surrounding district.   School camps are organised for senior students to places such as Canberra and Sydney giving students the opportunity to visit many places of interest.

All students are encouraged to participate in all sporting activities such as swimming, cross country, athletics, various team sports, tennis etc.

The aims of the school is encourage responsible, positive attitudes through challenging creative experiences which will help to develop and maximise students potential, giving them a sound foundation to work from for their next stage of their education.

The school grounds are pleasantly situated on approximately 2 acres of land, with a well grassed play area is enjoyed by all students.

There are four permanent teachers with many and varied support staff.   Parents are encouraged to be part of our school community, assisting with a variety of tasks.
